Welcome,
My name is Joe Quilantang. Thank you for coming to this page to learn who I am, what I do, and my why.
Background & Education
I'm a husband of one, father of four, the fourth of six siblings, and a third generation Stocktonian. I was born and proudly raised in South Stockton where I attended Conway Daycare, Zachary Taylor Skills School, John Marshall Middle School and received my diploma from Thomas Alva Edison High School. I received my Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from San Joaquin Delta College and received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies from California State University - Stanislaus.
Employment Beginnings
In the early 90’s, I had a "partnership" with my older brothers delivering The Stockton Record every day. When the partnership split up (everyone got their own jobs) and I was old enough for a workers permit, I would commute to work which was also in fast food. I've been mostly employed from then on unless circumstances beyond my control decided otherwise. Those circumstances really opened my mind about being dependent on one stream of income.
Stay Humble / Hustle Hard
After completing my Engineering degree in 2002, I had a passion of starting and operating my own business. I tried a few side hustles including Multi-Level Marketing, drop shipping, and vending machines. Each business increased my skills which were implemented in the next venture such as adaptability, leadership, teamwork, and work ethic.
Adaptability
During the Great Recession in 2008, I was laid off in 2009. I started a lawn maintenance business to make ends meet. It was a challenge because I had no traditional job to fall back on if I didn't succeed. So now, I respect all business owners as it is no small feat to run their business each day. My mind was opened, the idea of owning a business which fostered the growth and development of other businesses greatly piqued my interest.
Financial Education
I'm a moderate advocate for financial literacy. I wished it was taught more in school. I enjoyed reading Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad" along with the rest of the Rich Dad book series. I enjoy playing Rich Dad's board game Cashflow 101. I read Dave Ramsey's "The Total Money Makeover" along with the rest of their published work from Ramsey Press. I'm a student of Dave's teachings and utilize their Every Dollar Plus budgeting tool. Monthly earmarking every dollar in detail and sticking to that budget has improved my personal finances and financial awareness.
Reflection & Initiation
When you combine my education and work history along with my passion of owning and running a business that supports the success of other businesses, that is the blueprint of a merchant services business. In January of 2024, Articles of Organization were filed with the State of California and in February, the virtual doors to Payment Pro Solutions LLC opened for business.
Today, I specialize in merchant services. With a keen understanding of financial transactions and payment processing, I assist businesses in managing their payment systems efficiently. Whether it’s credit card processing, point-of-sale solutions, or e-commerce integration, I ensure smooth and secure transactions for merchants. My success is dependent on your success, so my passion champions your passion.
Final Thoughts
Education isn’t finite, growth requires continuous learning. Being dependent on one source of income can be volatile especially when you have a young family counting on you. Small businesses are the backbone to our economy so it would be my pleasure to help them analyze and model a merchant services solution that will increase their bottom line.
Here's to your continued success!
